SW43 is a high-affinity, specific small molecule Sigma-2 receptor (σ2R, σ2 receptor) ligand with binding IC50 of 18 nM for inhibiting [125I]-ISO-2 binding to σ2R.
SW43 shows high affinity for pancreas cancer and decrease viability of AsPC1, BxPC3, Cfpac, Panc1, and MiaPaCa-2 with IC50 of 21-56 uM.
SW43 induces caspase-3 activation in pancreas cancer, generates reactive oxygen species (ROS).
SW43 enhances standard chemotherapy induced cell death in pancreas cancer.
SW43 decreases Panc02 tumor burden in C57BL/6, with minimal toxicity in vivo.
