RUPB-61 is a potent, selective and orally bioavailable inhibitor of Plasmodium falciparum cGMP-dependent protein kinase (PfPKG) with IC50 of 13 nM, EC50 of 50 uM against multi-drug resistant P. falciparum lab strain 3D7, blocks sporozoite infection of the liver.
RUPB-61 prevents infection by P. falciparum and P. cynomolgi sporozoites.
RUPB-61 is efficacious in murine model of liver infection, block sporozoite invasion of hepatocytes.
RUPB-61 has moderate selectivity for human kinases ROCK1 and EGFR.
