DSM705 (DSM 705) is a potent, highly selective, long-duration and orally bioavailable malaria DHODH inhibitor with IC50 of 95 nM (PfDHODH), and 52 nM (P. vivax DHODH).
DSM705 shows no inhibition of mammalian DHODHs. DSM705 shows inhibitory activity against P. falciparum Pf3D7 cells (EC50=12 nM).
DSM705 (50 mg/kg, p.o.) fully suppresses parasitemia in vivo.
