Contilisant is a neuroprotective, non-toxic, antioxidant, permeable ligand, showing in vitro pharmacological properties on the selected biological targets (hAChE IC50=0.53 uM; hBuChE IC50=1.69 µM; hMAO A IC50=0.145 µM; hMAO B IC50=0.078 µM; hH3R Ki =10.8 nM).
Contilisant also is an affine and selective S1R agonist (Ki=65.2 nM).
Contilisant significantly restores the cognitive deficit induced by Aβ1-42 in the radial maze assay in an in vivo Alzheimer's disease model.
Contilisant significantly improves lipopolysaccharide-induced cognitive deficits.
