Candicidin (Antibiotic FR-008, Candimon) isa mixture of antifungal heptaene macrolides obtained from a strain of Streptomyces griseus, is active against some fungi of the genus Candida (C. albicans), is also a small-molecule inhibitor that suppresses RNA-binding motif protein 25 (RBM25) expression, effectively phenocopying RBM25 knockdown.
