tBPC is a potent, selective neuropeptide Y (NPY) receptor Y4R positive allosteric modulator (EC50=5.1 uM) that potentiates Y4R activation in G-protein signaling and arrestin3 recruitment experiments.
tBPC displyas no effect on Y1R, Y2R, and Y5R at 30 uM.
tBPC selectively potentiates Y4R agonism initiated by pancreatic polypeptide (PP) in mouse descending colon mucosa preparations expressing native Y4R.
