NPB (pBADS99 inhibitor NPB) is a small molecule that inhibits BCL-2-associated death promoter (BAD) phosphorylation specifically at Ser99 with IC50 of 0.41 M.
NPB effectively induces apoptosis and reduces cell viability in various human cancer cell lines (A2780 cell, IC50=6.57 uM).
NPB exhibits synergistic effects with cisplatin in both cisplatin-sensitive and -resistant cell lines. decreases CSC-like properties of EOC cells, markedly decreases high expressions of NANOG, OCT4, WNT5B, NOTCH1, and ALDH1A1 in A2780cis cells.
NPB and cisplatin combination reduced tumor volume and tumor weight in ovarian cancer xenografts.
