Z-505 hydrochloride is a novel, orally active ghrelin (GHSR1a) agonist with EC50 of 2.08 nM and 5.46 nM for rat and mouse GHSR1a, respectively.
Z-505 attenuates the progression of cancer cachexia via anabolic hormones in vivo, significantly improves the cisplatin-induced reduction in food intake and body weight.
Z-505 prevents the 5-FU-induced decrease in food intake and body weight in the 5-FU-induced mouse model.
