    YM116 is a potent CYP17A1 (17,20-lyase) inhibitor with IC50 with Ki of 0.38 nM, inhibits C17-20 lyase activity in human testicular microsomes with IC50 of 4.2 nM.
    YM116 inhibits cortisol production with IC50 of 50.4 nM, decreases the serum testosterone concentration in gonadotropin-releasing hormone-treated rats (ED50=0.7 mg/kg).
    YM116 also reduces dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate levels in ACTH-treated castrated rats (ED50=11 mg/kg).
