YE6144 (YE 6144) is a specific small molecule inhibitor of transcription factor IFN regulatory factor 5 (IRF5), selectively suppresses IRF5 activity through inhibition of IRF5 phosphorylation.
YE6144 inhibited the phosphorylation of IRF5 in both human PBMCs and mouse splenocytes, decreased the production of type I IFNs (IFN-β and IFN-α) in human PBMCs stimulated with R-848 with IC50 of 0.09 uM.
YE6144 administration maintains the remission and alleviated the disease course in the NZB/W F1 mouse model of autoimmune disease systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).
