Y-27632 dihydrochloride is a potent, selective ROCK1 (p160 ROCK) inhibitor with Ki of 140 nM in cell-free assay.
Y-27632 exhibits >200-fold selectivity over other kinases, including PKC, cAMP-dependent protein kinase, MLCK and PAK.
Y-27632 consistently suppresses Rho-induced, p160ROCK-mediated formation of stress fibres in cultured cells and dramatically corrects hypertension in several hypertensive rat models.
