WY-14643 (Pirinixic acid) is a potent, selective PPARα agonist with EC50 of 0.63 uM.
WY-14643 displays little or no activity for PPARγ and PPARδ (EC50=32 and >100 uM, respectively).
WY-14643 modulates cellular redox status, represses NF-kappaB signaling, and reduces inflammatory cytokine production in mice.
