WOBE437 (WOBE-437) is a potent, selective endocannabinoid uptake inhibitor with IC50 of 10 nM, with an outstanding 1,000-fold selectivity over FAAH.
WOBE437 exerts pronounced cannabinoid receptor-dependent anxiolytic, antiinflammatory, and analgesic effects in mice by increasing endocannabinoid levels.
WOBE437 is orally bioavailable, significantly elevates AEA in the somatosensory cortex, inhibits analgesia in the hot plate test in a cannabinoid CB1 receptor-dependent manner, without inducing catalepsy or affecting locomotion.
