VV116 (Mindeudesivir, JT001) is a promising orally active remdesivir derivative against SARS-CoV-2, targeting the viral RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRP) through its nucleoside triphosphate form with IC50 of 0.67 uM.
VV116 shows excellent efficacy in inhibiting SARS-CoV-2 replication in cell-based and animal models.
VV116 also is a potent inhibitor of respiratory syncytial virus with efficacy in mouse model.
