生物&药学活性

USC-373 is a phosphonate prodrug of HPMPC (cidofovir) with activity against VZV and other DNA viruses.
USC-373 is potent against VZV Ellen laboratory strain and is not overtly toxic, with EC50 of 4 nM and CC50 of 0.2 uM.
USC-373 is effective against VZV-ORF57-Luc wild type strain and the acyclovir-resistant isogenic strain in ARPE-19 cells.
USC-373 prevents VZV spread and is well-tolerated in vivo when administered orally.
