Triphenyl compound A (TPh A) is a small-molecule inhibitor of nuclear protein Pirin with Kd of 0.6 uM, inhibits the interaction between pirin and Bcl3 in vitro and in cells.
TPh A does not exerts any potent cytotoxic activity against many human cancer cell lines after 48 h of treatment, dose-dependently inhibits melanoma cell migration.
TPh A reduces SNAI2 expression by suppressing SNAI2 promoter activity, and thereby impedes melanoma cell migration.
