TRx0237 (Hydromethylthionine, Methylene blue) is a Tau aggregation inhibitor (TAI) with Ki of 0.12 uM for intracellular TAI activity.
TRx0237 disrupts paired helical filaments (PHFs) isolated from AD brain tissues at 0.16 uM, delays cellular senescence and enhances key mitochondrial biochemical pathways.
TRx0237 demonstrates activities in clinical trials in Alzheimer's disease (AD) with drugs targeting β-amyloid accumulation in the brain.
