TC-G 1008 (TC-G-1008, GPR39-C3) is a potent, selective, orally bioavailable GPR39 agonist with EC50 of 0.4 and 0.8 nM for rat and human GPR39, respectively.
TC-G 1008 displays high selectivity over a broad panel of kinases (IC50> 10 uM), and ghrelin and neurotensin-1 receptors (IC50>30 uM).
TC-G 1008 robustly induces acute GLP-1 levels and shows the potential oral treatment of type 2 diabetes.
