TAS-204 (TAS204) is a potent, specific hematopoietic prostaglandin D synthase (H-PGDS) inhibitor, inhibits recombinant human H-PGDS with IC50 of 24.0 nM.
TAS-204 showed no inhibitory activities against COX-1, COX-2, microsomal PGE synthase or L-PGDS up to 10 uM.
TAS204 at 3.75, 7.5, 15 and 30 mg/kg dose-dependently inhibited the PGD2 production in in vivo.
TAS-204 reduced osinophil infiltration in nasal lavage fluid and nasal hyperresponsiveness to histamine in guinea pig model of experimental allergic rhinitis.
