Soticlestat (TAK-935) is a potent, selective, orally active inhibitor for Cholesterol 24-hydroxylase (CH24H) with IC50 of 7.4 nM.
Soticlestat (TAK-935) shows negligible inhibition not only for CYP3A4 (IC50=66 000 nM), but also for other CYP enzymes related to drug metabolism (2C8, 2C9, 2D6, 1A2, 2C19).
Soticlestat (TAK-935) showed dose-dependent reduction in 24HC levels in the brain and exhibited significant reduction at 24 h after single-dose administration to mice (33% reduction at 10 mg/kg and 25% reduction at 3 mg/kg from control level, po).
