Selgantolimod (GS-9688; GS9688) is a potent, selective and orally bioavailable TLR8 agonist with IL-12p40 EC50 of 220 nM, >100-fold TLR7 selectivity (IFN-α, EC50 >50 uM).

Selgantolimod (GS-9688) reduced in viral markers was observed in HBV-infected primary human hepatocytes treated with media from PBMCs.

Selgantolimod (GS-9688) (3 mg/kg) induced a >5 log10 reduction in serum viral load and reduced woodchuck hepatitis virus surface antigen (WHsAg) levels in woodchucks.
