SRI-42127 is a small molecule, BBB-permeable inhibitor of the RNA regulator HuR, inhibits HuR dimerization with IC50 of 1.2 uM in cell-based assays, prevents HuR oligomerization.
SRI-42127 suppressed glioma progression in U251, LN229, and the PDGx XD456 glioma cell lines with IC50 of 2.8-4.0 uM.
SRI-42127 induced apoptosis and reduce tumorigenicity in established and PDGx glioma cell lines.
SRI-42127 (15 mg/kg) exhibited encouraging glioma-inhibitory potential in vivo.
SRI-42127 potently attenuated glial activation in model of lipopolysaccharide-induced neuroinflammation.
