SMIP004 is a small molecule inducer of cancer-cell selective apoptosis and S-phase kinase-associated protein 2 (Skp2) inhibitor, shows anti-cancer and antidepressant-like activities.
SMIP004 decreases the levels of positive cell cycle regulators, upregulated cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitors, and resulted in G1 arrest, inhibition of colony formation in soft agar, and cell death.
SMIP004 potently inhibits the growth of prostate and breast cancer xenografts in mice.
Radiotherapy combine with SKP2 inhibitor SMIP004 showed significant inhibitory effects on breast cancer cells in vitro and in vivo.
SMIP004 exert antidepressant-like properties in mouse models following acute or chronic administration to C57BL6/J mice.
