SKF 83566 hydrobromide is a potent, selective dopamine D1 receptor antagonist with Ki of 0.56 nM.
SKF 83566 shows no significant activity for D2 receptors (KB=2 uM), also is a potent antagonist of the vascular 5-HT2 receptor with Ki of 11 nM.
SKF 83566 also inhibits the dopamine transporter with IC50 of 0.51 uM, attenuate cocaine effects in vivo.
