SKF 38393 hydrochloride is a potent, selective prototypical D1-like dopamine receptor with Ki of 1 and 0.5 nM for D1 and D5 receptors, shows little to no affinity for D2, D3 and D4 receptors.
SKF 38393 enhances the frequency of mEPSCs, and exhibits stimulant and anorectic effects, stimulates the release of glutamate in the hippocampus.
