SGC-CLK-1 (CAF-170) is a potent and selective inhibitor of Cdc2-Like kinases CLK1, 2 and 4 with binding IC50 values of 13 nM, 4 nM, and 46 nM, resepctively.
SGC-CLK-1 (CAF-170) poorly inhibits CLK3 with IC50 of 363 nM.
SGC-CLK-1 (CAF-170) binds to CLK1, CLK2, and CLK4 with cellular IC50 values below 200 nM, with the CLK2 cellular affinity the best, at 58 nM.
SGC-CLK-1 (CAF-170) is active against multiple cancer types, not only reduces serine arginine rich (SR) protein phosphorylation, but also alters SR protein and CLK2 subcellular localization in a reversible way.
