SCH00013 is a cardiotonic agent that acts as a calcium sensitizer with no chronotropic activity in mammalian cardiac muscle, elicits positive inotropic effect in dog and rabbit ventricular muscles (EC50=9.2 uM).
SCH00013 also weakly inhibits PDE3 with IC50 of 64.9 uM.
SCH00013 improved left ventricular dysfunction and survival prognosis of dilated cardiomyopathy in a mouse model; orally bioavailable.
