RSMI-29 is a small molecule inhibitor of ricin toxin, specifically targeting ricin toxin A chain (RTA) with binding KD of 0.9 uM, inhibits cytotoxicity of RTA/ricin.
RSMI-29 attenuates RTA/ricin-induced protein synthesis inhibition and rRNA depurination.
RSMI-29 (0.15 mg/kg) protects mice against ricin intoxication, reduces ricin-induced organ damage.
