RN-1 dihydrochloride is a potent, irreversible, brain-penetrant inhibitor of LSD1 with IC50 of 70 nM.
RN-1 dihydrochloride shows much less effectivity against MAO-A and MAO-B (IC50=0.51 and 2.8 uM, respectively).
RN-1 dihydrochloride abolishes long-term memory formation without affecting short-term memory in a mouse model.
RN-1 dihydrochloride also induces fetal hemoglobin synthesis and reduces disease pathology in sickle cell mice.
