RG0216 is a potent, selective and reversible monoamine oxidase (MAO-B) inhibitor, >260-fold selectivity over MAO-A.
RG0216 (20 and 100 µM) fully inhibited MAO-B activity in cell lysate preparations up to 8 μg/ml (log10 0.9).
RG0216 reduces LPS-induced IL-6 and IL-1β protein secretion in SiHa cells, with no significant effect on baseline IL-6 and IL-1β gene expression.
RG0216 downregulates cAMP-mediated induction of IL-6 and IL-1β gene and protein expression.
RG0216 reduced PKA/EPAC-induced IL-1β gene expression, also decreased PKA activation-induced effect on IL-6 protein expression.
