RA-NSP2-1 is a first-in-class, specific inhibitor of chikungunya virus (CHIKV) nsP2 RNA helicase (nsP2hel) with IC50 of 130 nM against unwindase activity of nsP2.
RA-NSP2-1 inhibits nsP2 helicase with IC50 of 0.84 uM for ATPase activity.
RA-NSP2-1 has a high selectivity for CHIKV over other RNA viruses and for nsP2hel over other RNA helicases.
RA-NSP2-1 inhibits viral replication with IC50 of 0.1 uM in the CHIKV-nLuc viral replication assays.
RA-NSP2-1 is a powerful tool to probe the dynamic motor function of CHIKV viral RNA helicase.
