PEPCKi is a small molecule inhibitor of hosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase (PEPCK), blocks lactate utilization and impairs tumor growth in colorectal cancer.
The metabolic enzyme phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase (PEPCK; HUGO: PCK1) increases colon cancer cell growth in part by promoting the use of both glucose and glutamine by the TCA cycle.
