Olinciguat (IW-1701, IW1701) is a novel potent, selective soluble guanylate cyclase (sGC) stimulator, enhances the synthesis of cGMP in response to NO binding.

Olinciguat attenuates increases in plasma biomarkers of endothelial cell activation and leukocyte‐endothelial cell interactions in TNFα‐challenged mice.

Olinciguat attenuates leukocyte‐endothelial cell interactions, improves blood flow and prolongs survival time in the Berkeley mouse model of TNFα‐induced vaso‐occlusive crisis.
