ONO-2952 is a novel potent, selective, orally active translocator protein 18 kDa (TSPO/PBR) antagonist with Ki of 0.33-9.3 nM for both rat and human TSPO, respectively.
ONO-2952 displays high selectivity over 98 other receptors, transporters, ion channels and enzymes.
ONO-2952 inhibits both neurosteroid accumulation and noradrenaline release in the brain of rats exposed to acute stress.
ONO-2952 suppresses conditioned fear stress-induced freezing behavior in rats with an efficacy equivalent to that of diazepam, but without not affect learning and memory.
