Nesbuvir (HCV-796) is a selective, non-nucleoside HCV nonstructural protein 5B (NS5B) polymerase inhibitor with IC50 of 0.01-0.14 uM for genotype 1, EC50 of 5 nM and 9 nM against genotype 1a and 1b replicon.
Nesbuvir (HCV-796) showed slow binding kinetics to NS5B with Kd of 71 nM.
Nesbuvir (HCV-796) reduced HCV RNA levels by 3 to 4 log(10) HCV copies/mug total RNA with IC50 of 9 nM in hepatoma cells containing a genotype 1b HCV replicon
Nesbuvir (HCV-796) treatment cuased a 2.02 +/- 0.55 log reduction in HCV titer in the chimeric mouse model.
