NS-2028 (NS2028) is a potent, specific soluble guanylate cyclase (sGC) inhibitor with IC50 of 30 and 200 nM for basal and NO-stimulated enzymes, respectively.
NS-2028 inhibits S-nitroso-glutathione-enhanced guanylyl cyclase activity in mouse cerebellum homogenates with IC50 of 17 nM, displays 4.7 fold more potent than ODQ (IC50=80 nM).
NS-2028 inhibits NO-dependent relaxant responses in non-vascular smooth muscle.
