NCL-1 is a specific small molecule inhibitor of LSD1 (KDM1A) with IC50 of 2.5 uM.
NCL-1 promotes inhibitory epigenetic modifications, inhibits cell proliferation of PELP1-driven (MCF-7-PELP1) and HER2-driven (MCF-7-HER2) breast cancer cells with IC50 of 10-16.5 uM.
NCL-1 significantly reduced the proliferation of glioma cells, promotes up regulation of the p53 target genes p21 and PUMA.
NCL-1 mimicks the effects of siRNA-mediated KDM1A knockdown and effectively inhibits KDM1A activity in four neuroblastoma cell lines and a patient-representative cell model.
