MC-1-F2 is the first inhibitor of forkhead box protein C2 (FOXC2) with Kd of 26 uM, induces cadherin switching and reverses EMT through the degradation of FOXC2, blocks FOXC2 nuclear localization.
MC-1-F2 is very effective in inhibiting cancer cell migration and invasion.
MC-1-F2 inhibits in vitro tumorigenicity of cancer cells in a FOXC2 expression-dependent manner.
MC-1-F2 has shown a decrease in mesenchymal markers, inhibition of cancer stem cell (CSC) properties and decrease in invasive capabilities of CRPC cell lines.
