Liquidambaric acid (Betulonic acid) ia a natural compound inhibiting oncogenic Wnt/β-catenin signaling in vitro and in vivo, directly targets tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated factor 2 (TRAF2) with Kd of 6.02 uM in MST assays.
TRAF2 is a positive regulator of Wnt/β-catenin signaling and colon cancer.
Liquidambaric acid disrupts the interaction between TRAF2 and β-catenin in both MST and coIP assays.
Liquidambaric acid inhibits TRAF2/β-catenin/TCF4/TNIK complex formation in colon cancer.
