Metablok (LSALT peptide) is a specific DPEP1-binding peptide and nonenzymatic dipeptidase-1 (DPEP-1) inhibitor.
LSALT peptide binds specifically to DPEP1 with no detectable binding to DPEP2 or DPEP3.
LSALT peptide significantly reduces neutrophil recruitment to the lungs and liver and provides improved survival in models of endotoxemia.
LSALT peptide boclks neutrophil adhesion to peritubular capillaries and reduces inflammatory monocyte recruitment to the kidney after IRI.
