LMPTP inhibitor 6g is a potent, selective, uncompetitive low molecular weight protein tyrosine phosphatase (LMPTP) inhibitor with IC50 of 83 nM, >1000-fold selective over other phosphatases.
LMPTP inhibitor 6g (500 nM) substantially increased HepG2 AKT Thr308 phosphorylation after insulin stimulation. (30 mg/kg/day, oral) significantly improved glucose tolerance and decreased fasting insulin levels of diabetic DIO mice.
LMPTP inhibitor 6g also resulted in increased insulin-stimulated phosphorylation of the IR activation motif and increased phosphorylation of AKT Thr308 in the livers of DIO mice.
