    KC289 is a specific small-molecule agonist of PIEZO1 channel and Yoda1 analogue with EC50 of 150 nM in calcium assays.
    KC289 is selectivity for PIEZO1 over other membrane proteins and the physico-chemical properties, and is more suited to physiological conditions than those of Yoda1.
    KC289 shows improved reliability, efficacy and potency compared to Yoda1 in functional assays.
    KC289 may have therapeutic potential, for example in diseases linked genetically to PIEZO1 such as lymphatic dysplasia.
