JSF-3269 is a small molecule antibacterial inhibitor against Enterococcus faecium with MIC of 1.9-3.8 uM and minimal bactericidal concentration (MBC) of 7.7-15 uM.
JSF-3269 exhibits modest whole-cell activity versus the reference S. aureus strain (MIC = 16 μM) while not demonstrating significant efficacy (MIC > 120 μM) versus the A. baumannii, K. pneumoniae, and P. aeruginosa reference strains.
JSF-3269 demonstrated in vivo efficacy in a peritonitis–sepsis mouse model of vancomycin-resistant E. faecium infection.
