Icilin (AG-3-5) is asuper-cooling agent that fuctions as a potent TRPM8 agonist with EC50 of 0.2 uM.
Icilin (AG-3-5) also activate other cold-transducing receptors such as ANKTM1, increased [Ca2+]i in mTRPM8-transfected HEK293 cells, this effect can be inhibited by low pH.
