Ibrigampar (AMG31, INT131, CHS131) is a selective, orally active PPARγ modulator (partial agonist) with binding IC50 of 17 nM, and PPARγ transactivation EC50 of 150 nM, enhances insulin sensitivity.
INT131 is highly selective for PPARγ over other nuclear receptors, with no activation of human PPARa, PPARd,
FXR, LXR, PXR or RXR or of rodent PPAR.
INT131displays robust glucose-lowering activity in rodent models of diabetes while exhibiting a reduced side-effects profile compared to marketed TZDs.
