IPP-14 (Inhibitor of PAK1-PUMA) is a novel PAK1 inhibitor that selectively blocks the PAK1-PUMA binding and suppresses cell proliferation via PUMA-dependent manner.
IPP-14 suppresses cancer cell viability and migration, induces p21 expression and induces M-phase arrest by inhibition of PAK1.
IPP-14 also induces p21/WAF1/CIP1 (Cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor 1A) expression by releasing from Bcl-2 and by inhibition of AKT-mediated p21 suppression.
