I3MT-3 (HMPSNE, 3MST inhibitor 3) is a potent, selective, cell-membrane permeable inhibitor of 3-Mercaptopyruvate sulfurtransferase (3MST) with IC50 of 2.7 uM.
I3MT-3 dispalys limited activity against other 2 H2S-producing enzymes cystathionine γ-lyase (CSE) and cystathionine β-synthase (CBS).
I3MT-3 (1 uM) almost completely suppressed 3MST activity in 3MST-overexpressing COS7 cells.
