GluN2B-NMDAR antagonist-1 (Compound Z25) is a selective GluN2B subunit-containing NMDA receptor antagonist, inhibits Ca2+ influx induced by NMDA.
Z25 increases NMDA-induced down-regulation of p-ERK1/2 expression in SH-SY5Y cells.
Z25 exerts neuroprotective activity by acting on GluN2B-NMDA receptor.
Z25 can improve the cognitive and memory function of mice with cerebral ischemia by oral administration.
