Globomycin is a cyclic depsipeptide antibiotic, specific inhibitor of the prolipoprotein signal peptidase, inhibits the essential type II signal peptidase prolipoprotein signal peptidase (LspA), shows antimicrobial effect against Gram-negative bacteria.
