Gatorbulin-1 (GB1) is a microtubule-destabilizing cyclodepsipeptide, directly inhibits tubulin polymerization in vitro in an iron-independent manner.
Gatorbulin-1 inhibits response by 50% (IC50) of 0.80 µM in a 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl-2H-tetrazolium bromide assay against HCT116 colorectal cancer cells.
Gatorbulin-1 competes a fluorescent probe of the colchicine site with binding affinity of 1.01 uM.
Gatorbulin-1 promotes microtubule depolymerization in A-10 (rat smooth muscle) interphase cells.
